Lily of the Valley - Winning Candy Card!

Finally I have managed to get round to making a card with a Blog Candy LOTV stamp I won last November!!!
It seemed to take forever though to actually get this card altogether, just finding the right things to finish it off! Hope that I have done it justice though as LOTV stamps are so lovely!!!
I have used Core'dinations and backing paper from the 1st Swalk CD. Then I used a hearts embossing folder on the Core'dinations and sanded it back.
Next I used my Picot Edge Circle nestie die for both circles, then coloured in with my speccies, not sure on the dress just couldn't get the shading right, can't seem to get the effect of pleats, never mind just will have to keep at it!
Then I finished off with some flowers, a "just for you" stamp from the Peter Rabbit stamp range from CC and then the final touch was a heart epiphany!!!

Stamping up my stamps!!!

Oh My Goodness I am not blogging a card!!! I will be though soon - LOL!!!
Well I thought I would make a start on filing my stamps after Marcea very kindly put on her blog how to do it.  I am no where near finished, barely started actually, as it took me quite a while if I am to be honest as not all my stamps were cut out but I am very happy with my results.  Here is my first "batch" the Strawberry Kisses Collection!

Have to say I much prefer them this way than in CD boxes, they took up far too much space for one!! Now they just pop in an A4 ring binder and you can flick quite quickly and easily through them!

Thanks Marcea for giving me a kick up the backside to get sorted!!! LOL

SWALK - Slugs & Snails!

Well after watching Leann's Spectrum Noir DVD I just had to do this card.  I followed her step by step and think I "got it"!!  So many wonderful hints and tips, I can see this permanently being in my DVD drive!!!

I used a 6x6 scalloped card and then core'dinations from the Tim Holtz Nostalgic Collection along with backing paper from the SWALK 1st CD.  I used my Nestie to cut out the scalloped square of green from my 1st matt of green, you'd never know, saves getting another sheet!
I then dabbed a green inkpad on my glass cutting mat and then used a dry wet wipe to VERY CAREFULLY soften the edges of the card, I can't get away with the Ink Essentials blending tool and pads, it just drags - any tips would be greatfully appreciated! I did manage but it was heart in the mouth time I can tell you!!
Next I mounted the sentiments onto more Core'dinatons and coloured over the top to match in and then the final finishing touch, my 1st Epiphany!! I stamped the snail and coloured him using the Speccies and he fit perfectly!

Fingers crossed for my next one all by myself!!!

Little Miss Creation!

Seem to take me forever to do this card, haven't felt too well lately maybe that had something to do with it!

Well it's another Strawberry Kisses card,
just had to be!
I have used 8x8 scalloped card stock and used Core'dinations card stock from the "Just Peachy" In The Family range together with backing paper from the CD. (Just to let you know I cut out 5 shapes before I stuck the Core-dinations down from my nesties)!!!
Next I made up the flower embellishment and printed off a ribbon sheet and used my Edgeabilities onto more Core'dinatons.
Next I stamped the "Little Miss image" and coloured her in with speccies and had a go at paper piecing after watching Leann do it on C&C! Not bad for a first try! I cut round the image and mounted this up onto one of the Card Companion sheets.
I stamped up the words and coloured in again using speccies and then lastly I stamped 3 hearts, coloured in and then used glossy accents for a lovely shine!

Anything Goes - Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge

Here is my entry for the February "Anything Goes" Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge!
I have used Core'dinations So Mod card stock, Strawberry Kisses CD for the backing paper and sentiment and the "Yum" Stamp for my centre piece and strawberries! I have used a lattice border along the centre with a few Card Candi and then put Glossy Accents on the strawberries and a bit on the glass.

A tip if you want to save on the gorgeous Core'dinations card before sticking it down as your matting and layering is to use one of your dies with your die cutting machine in the centre of the card and use it as a topper either on the card you are working on or your next project, saves having to get a new sheet out and nobody will ever know!

Adorables Summer Collection - April Showers

I'm helping out Franki at her shop with some samples to put on display and here's my 1st one!! I have used the Adorables Summer Collection with the April Showers stamp plate.
I have used 6x6 card stock and then Core-dinations and backing paper from the CD, next I cut out a a shape using my Sizzix die and stamped the little girl with her umbrella onto Neenah and coloured in with Spectrum Noirs and layered this up onto core'dinations and used a Dotty embossing folder and sanded the top.  I did the same with the sentiment and cut round it freehand! The embellishments are purple ribbon threaded through a heart from Mei Flower, Franki has just got these in and I thought they looked really pretty and then I used the Elegant Scrollwork die with some added flowers!

Took me a longer than usual as my first attempt went horribly wrong, I stamped it all out with raindrops, took me 2 hours to colour in only to find when I went to put a bit of colour on the raindrops they were upside down!! Was not happy :-( So consequentially I left the raindrops off this one!

Something a little different!

I was given a little project to do from Franki at Franki's Crafty Touch as part of her 10% off Card Club that she has!
A little different from my usual cards but thought I would give it a go and here it is!! In the pack there was a blank card and envelope, 2 butterflies, sheet of acetate and gems. I love the butterflies, not sure what has been used to cut them out but will find out and I have gone over them with a shimmer ink pad using foam. The paper I have used is from the Strawberry Kisses CD and a couple of peel offs and a sentiment!
