Sneaky Peek 3! Frou Frou Ooo La la!!

Oh it's soooo cold, am totally fed up of this weather now!!! But on a brighter note I have been able to finish work early today so able to get the heating on at home and blog my card early for a change!

Today my card is a bit Ooo La La!! Loved this image with the cat so just had to make a card!  I have used a full A4 sheet of Centura card stock and folded one side in. I have used Black card and Backing paper from the CD and the topper is actually one of the Shaped Card Fronts. I have added one of the borders, 2 punchables which come in 1", 1 1/2" and 2" which you can use your punches on or just cut out by hand and a topper. Then added some feathers and black netting.

Thanks so much for popping by, I really do appreciate it and love to read your comments and I'll have another Sneaky Peek tomorrow using one of the stamps in the range!

Frou Frou No 2!

Hi everyone, hope you are all managing to keep warm and safe in this awful weather! Have to say here in Darlington there has been NO snow at all!!! Bit of a flurry but mainly wet, grey and freezing cold!!! Brrrrrrrrrr!!!! Seeing it on the news tonight was such as shock!
Forgot to mention about my arm and all the pain I have been getting, think it's finally been solved! Have to wear a thumb splint, have what they call DeQuervains, something to do with the tendons in my thumb/wrist and just have to take Ibubrofen 600mg! I have been wearing it a week now and the pain is nowhere near as bad as it was so let hope it works! Off to see the Physio tomorrow!

Here is my 2nd sneaky peak for you from the new range, Frou Frou by Crafter's Companion.
This I made from the Card Companion sheet from the CD. Added extras are Centura Pearl Darks, Pearl coloured in with my Speccies to match, Lace and Tags 1 Die'sire Die. Quite a clean simple looking card!

Frou Frou Sneaky Peek!

There is going to be an exciting new release from Crafter's Companion this Thursday for an early Pick of the Week!  It's called "Frou Frou" and there will be a CD with stamps and also a Serif CD.

This range is by a lady called Kathleen Francour, her vision for the range is girly, glitz and glamour with a 1920's Parisienne feel.

There are lots of different feels to this CD as you will see from the DT Samples. I have used a Couture Collection here that I feel is full of fun and very bright!

For this card I have the Card Companions from the CD and used Black card with the Die'sire Enchanted Spring, corners from the Ornamental Flower Frame and circles from the Waltz Frame. Just added some Gems!
Bit of a different shaped card too from me!

Thanks so much for popping by, I really do appreciate it and love to read your comments and I'll have another Sneaky Peek tomorrow!

Embossalicious - Button Box

Hi Everyone! I so should of blogged this before now but have been so busy making samples, you know when you say "I'll do it after I've done this" well that must of been said over 20 times and can't go on no more! It doesn't help when things go wrong and everyday life gets in the way!

So anyways, enough of me waffling on here are my 2 makes I made for the Embossalicious Launch. Did you watch, I was amazed by the Design Teams Samples, they were all fantastic and was even more amazed by Leann's demo's! Anyone who was watching will know what the "Double Embossing" is about, totally loved that show with Debbie Shore!

Recipe
8x8 Scalloped Edge Card
8x8 Button Box Embossalicious Folder
Core'dinations - So Mod
Core'dinations - Whitewash
Memory Box Dies - Button Border, Simple Needle & Thread & Thread Spools
Embroidery Thread
Sentiment from the Crafter's Companion Female Hobbies CD

My next make is a Button Box. I will be putting a tutorial up soon for anyone interested! Must do one for my own buttons, holds loads!!!

Thanks so much for popping by, I really do appreciate it and love to read your comments! Off now to carry on, only have a few more days before I need to send them to CC Headquarters!  Ooooooo so exciting!

Party Paws - Scalloped Heart Easel Card Tutorial

OMG, I knew it that the Pick of the Day would sell out of the fantastic new launch of
Party Paws!
If you didn't manage to get a hold of it they do still have the Blockbuster!

Here is my card today and my very 1st tutorial on how to make it!

You will need the following:

2 sheets of A4 Centura Pearl card
Sheet of Core'dinations
Sheet of Backing Paper from CD
Darice Hearts Embossing Folder
Sand It Gadget & Dust Buddy
Sizzix Scalloped Hearts Die
Party Paws Stamp & Sentiment
Decoration for your card
Spectrum Noirs

Score and fold a sheet of Centura card in half

Next attach the largest heart to the Centura and secure in place.

Making sure there is a slight gap at  at the top so that your card will fold in half.

Use your Die-cutting machine to cut your shape. You may have to put it through a couple of times as it is going through double thickness of Centura.

Open your card so you have the Pearl side facing upwards and score about half way down the top heart and fold towards you.

Next cut another large heart from your 2nd sheet of Centura along with 2 smaller hearts and emboss these with your Darice Embossing Hearts Folder.

Cut 2 large hearts from your backing paper and glue these to your card remembering to trim the top of your backing paper heart where the fold is. Then glue your heart to the card, so you end up with this.

Next use your Sand It Gadget and Dust Buddy to reveal the hidden core on your Core'dinations and glue your hearts to your card, like this.

Your next step is to colour your image and cut around leaving a white edge.
Spectrum Noir Colours Used:
Panda Paws & Ears - IG5, IG7 & IG9
Panda Face - IG1 & IG2 & Blender, PP1 Cheeks
Heart - CR11, DR5 & DR7

Half way through colouring I decided to do 2 hearts so I could decoupage. There is no need to blend too much on image underneath as only going to see the edges. Use Collal glue to raise your heart.

Next make your stopper so your card stands nicely using Collall glue. I have used a smaller heart which fit nicely over my sentiment and coloured in with my Spectrum Noirs using DR1.
Decorate the rest of your card as you wish.

Another image that I used

Hope you have enjoyed my very 1st Tutorial and would love to hear what you think of it!
