And now for something totally different!

Hello everyone!
Now for something completely different! Don't worry I'm still making cards but this takes me back to my childhood days when I used to crochet granny squares with my nana, totally loved the craft! I have over the years made various things, a baby blanket for one for my soon to be 17 year old daughter! OMG!!!

Well I saw a new magazine released called The Art of Crochet and well just had to have it.  Each issue you get a ball of wool and make a granny square, each week a different pattern.  When completed I'm going to have a lovely throw! Cant wait to show you!

These caught my eye as often the back of my hands are chilly but you can never do things when you are wearing full gloves so I thought I would give them a go.  Never made from a pattern before.  Have to say though that these are my 2nd pair that I made for my friend as she loved the ones I'd made so it was my very first sell!!  :-)

Thanks for looking and I have more
things to blog, different things!
Eeeeeeek exciting!

Something Completely Different From Me!

Well I promised you something different from last time I blogged, so here it is!

Was asked by a friend if I could make a wedding card, now have to be honest I have never made a wedding card before but this was going to be even more difficult as it was for a gay male couple, OMG where do I start!

Hope you like what I came up with, have to say my friend was ecstatic and so was his wife.  When he gave the card to the grooms they were overwhelmed, first handmade card they had ever had and were showing it off to everyone!
That's what makes making cards all worthwhile!

Thanks for looking!
Will be sharing another card tomorrow!

Scruffy Little Cat for a Special Friend

Finally been able to blog a card I made for a very special friend!
My Computer is not playing ball at the moment and really not sure how to sort it. It has 2 hard drives and the main C drive is full, but there is hardly anything on it! So I'm really not happy as its causing all sorts of problems.  As I'm typing this I'm hoping the computer doesn't suddenly switch off on me! :-(

I made this card about 3 weeks ago and its the first time I've used Scruffy Little Cat images! This was just the perfect one to use for my friend!

The colouring in must of taken me about 4 hours but have to say considering I don't colour in that often I was pretty pleased with the outcome!

A Close Up!

Hope you like my creation and thanks so much for looking!

Mulberry Wood says Happy Retirement Pat!

Little update on my car status, I've bought a new one! Can't believe I have found one so quick and I am so relieved. I pick it up Thursday after my courtesy car goes back!  Thank you for the comments you left yesterday, yes thankfully I'm ok, well I say ok, I suffered whiplash and currently going for physio but my claim is in!

So here is the card I promised.
I got to know a lovely lady called Pat at work and she retired today and is off on a cruise for about 3 weeks I think, lucky lady!
She was overwhelmed with my card and it brought tears to her eyes, she kept showing it off to everyone, bless her!

A Close up!
First time I have done fur like this and have to say I was mega pleased with the result!

Be-Bunni Says "Happy 30th Amy!"

How is everyone on this cold and very wet evening! Sorry haven't been around but was in a car crash. I'm ok but my car isn't, sadly! It wasn't my fault and have just been paid out for a new car so now starts the task of finding one :-(

On a brighter note I've been a bit of a busy bee and have a card to share with you! One of my friends from work, Amy, turned 30 yesterday so couldn't resist the opportunity to make her a card.
She is a fellow crafter I've learned too!

I used one of my favourite CD's - Be-Bunni Floral. This is a 6x6 easel card with a matching envelobox!

A close up!

Thanks for calling by and I will have another to share tomorrow, told you I'd been busy! Lol!

Good Luck "G" - Bebunni says Bye!

Good evening! Oh my goodness we're in March!!! Where are these days going, time really does need to slow down.

Well I've been uber busy making a card for my friend at work who is leaving for pastures new!  I haven't known Georgina very long but she is going to be sadly missed.

I have used the BeBunni Floral CD to help me make this little larger than 8x8 card, reason its bigger is that I wanted to matt and layer it onto Blue Mirri Card and when you print the design it is exactly 8x8.

From the CD I used the gorgeous Megapage, totally love doing decoupage cards, really stand out and this one is pretty high I can tell you!  I used backing paper and insert to match.

Extras used were the Be-Bunni Flower and Be-Bunni Butterfly and Bee Dies
1" Alphabet Dies
Corners from Ornamental Flower Frame Die.
Core'dinations So Mod
Blue Mirri Card
Glitter & Gems

The Back

I had to make a box for sure for this to fit into!
I used an
Insert from the CD matted onto more Blue Mirri
Backing Paper to line the box base
Topper from the CD
Chantilly Lace Stamping Frame Die
Letter "G" from the Alphabet as that's what
she's known as!
Glitter

Thanks so much for popping by!
My friend leaves on the 20th!
Eeeeek I hope she likes it!
